  • Dr. Sandy is a Board Certified, Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac) by the California Acupuncture Board: Department of Consumer Affairs. License #16747.
     

  • He is BLS, CPR, AED, First Aid Certified by American Heart Association (AMA)
     

  • Certified Asepsis & Clean Needle Technique (CCAOM)
     

  • This includes blood borne pathogen training, & sterile appropriate use of acupuncture needles. Only single-use disposable sterile needles are utilized at Tigermed
     

  • Certified in TCM Orthopedics, by completing a year long Post-Graduate Certification Program at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine
     

  • Dr. Sandy acquired advanced clinic and didactic experience for pain management and sports medicine; as well as gaining skillsets in physical therapy, pain physiology, ortho-neuro exams and imaging, cervical and lumbar spine injuries, kinesio-taping, and advanced Tuina and Shiatsu (massage).
     

  • He continued adding ancillary components of medicine to strengthen his biomedicine knowledge and become an expert in human anatomy and kinesiology; through taking external cadaver labs at Lifewest Chiropractic College, and advanced anatomy classes and continuing medical units geared towards physical therapists and other modern based rehabilitation doctors.   •  Anatomy Trains: Anatomy Trains links the individual muscles into functional complexes, and helps athletes to resolve complex postural and movement patterns - the interplay of movement and stability. Training in these courses included powerful myofascial release techniques and in depth training of myofascial anatomy.
     

  • Electro-Acupuncture Medicine: Led by Dr. Jeremy Steiner, Utilizing e-stim to modulate the nervous system; effectively using the latest evidence-based research to use specific frequencies and amplitudes, in a process that focuses on the release of neuro-peptides such as beta-endorphin, ACTH, nor-epinephrine, and serotonin. Adding this modality to the acupuncture in a research-supported modality which augments effectiveness
